Gluten-free Meatballs Recipe
Most meatball recipes include bread crumbs, but these delicious meatballs are gluten-free. Make them with mutton mince instead of beef if you like.
Ground beef / Beef mince
Handful of chives or garlic chives
1 Tbsp mixed herbs
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbsp tumeric
1 tsp garlic
Pinch of black pepper
Tin of tomatoes (for the sauce)
1 Tbsp Avocado or Coconut Oil
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius/375 Fahrenheit.
Cut onion in half and put aside one half for the sauce. Chop finely (or grate) the other half onion.
Chop chives finely. Beat egg. (Serious beating not required)
Mix mince, egg, chopped onion, chives, herbs and spices in a bowl.
Line an oven tray with tin foil. Form the mince mix into balls and place on tray. Place tray in oven and cook for 25 minutes.
While the meatballs cook, chop the other half of the onion.
Place the onion with the tin of tomatoes in a microwave safe container. Add Tbsp of oil and mix.
Cover container and cook in the micro for 5 minutes.
Once meatballs have cooked (check ball is brown all the way through), dish up onto plates. Cover with the tomato and onion sauce and serve.
